We Need to Talk About Kevin (2011)

The person to be blamed for a child's actions is his or her parents because the teaching of good manners and right conduct starts at home. The parents are the first teachers of their children and at a very young age, they must be taught how to identify what is right from wrong and must be guided properly. So when a child grows bad, there is no one to be blamed but his or her parents that raised him.

We Need to Talk About Kevin is an upcoming drama film which will make us realize the real essence of the parents guidance to their children. The movie will focus on the life of a mother of a teenage boy who went on a high-school killing spree who tries to deal with her grief and at the same time feeling guilty and responsible for her child’s actions.

We Need to Talk About Kevin is an example of a psychological thriller movie which is based on Lionel Shriver’s novel of the same name. The British film is directed and adapted by Lynne Ramsay and it is set to hit in movie theaters on December 2, 2011. The film stars Tilda Swinton, John C. Reilly and Ezra Miller and it is going to be distributed by Oscilloscope Laboratories.

Tilda Swinton plays the role of Eva. In this film, Eva is a woman who is seemingly full of life. She is an educated mother from New York who does her best in order to raise a son she never really wanted in the first place. When she met Franklin, she fell in love immediately and after an unexpected pregnancy, she struggled with her worth and abilities as a mother because she didn’t know what to do, especially when it turns out that their son, Kevin, exhibits sociopathic tendencies when he was a disturbed teenager and ended up being involved on a killing spree at his high school with a crossbow.
