Sidney, after years of working hard before becoming the author of a self-help-book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. In her hometown, she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey (Arquette) and reporter Gale (Cox), who are living as a happy couple, as well as her cousin Jill and her Aunt Kate. Unfortunately, her appearance into Woodsboro also brings about the unwanted return of Ghostface, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey,a long with Jill and her friends, and the whole town of Woodsboro in great danger and extreme horror.
