Somewhere in this lifetime, we tend to go out of our way for the better, to save a life; and to be who we really are, telling the world that we could be the best. Now imagine a warrior priest who drops everything, and even his order, disobeys the Church to team up with a young sheriff (Cam Gigandet) and a stunningly beautiful princess (Maggie Q) in order to save a race that faces doom. The trio of wide-eyed and fearless warriors stick together to hunt down and slay a circle of charlatan vampires which kidnapped the priest’s daughter (how ironic!) before they suck up her life and be one of their kind. That warrior priest is played by film chameleon Paul Bettany. Priest is a motion picture which will haunt theaters with blood-curdling thrill on May 13, 2011. Starring versatile actor (he can play albino assassin in one film, heartthrob, and Wimbledon champion on another film) Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet, action star Maggie Q, Karl Urban, and Lily Collins, the film is directed by Scott Stewart for Screen Gems Studio.

Priest is not all about Rapture, not yet, but is a post-apocalyptic action thriller which is set in an alternate world, where one steps out and be ravaged by vampires, drawing a picture of age-old wars and blood feuds between vampires and humans. A legendary Warrior Priest who came from the last Vampire War now walks the earth among common humans inhabiting a walled city ruled by the Church. When his kin (lily Collins) gets kidnapped eventually by the vampires, he revs up a quest, teaming up with a legion consisting of a street-smart young sheriff (Gigandet) who is his niece’s boyfriend and an ex-Warrior Priestess who’s got out-of-this world fighting acumen in order to save the girl who makes his life worthwhile.
