A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)

Warner Bros.' New Line Cinema brings back Freddy Krueger with the horror movie "A Nightmare on Elm Street." It is scheduled to be released in theaters worldwide on April 30, 2010. Reliving how Freddy Krueger terrorized high school students from their sleep and killing them one by one. Its not actually a full remake of the 80's Nightmare and not as the same tone with the Friday the 13th remake but some of the dream sequence of the film was taken from some of Freddy's scene.

It was also said that they made the film much scarier and darker which they have done by removing some scenes that makes Freddy Krueger less scarier such as the old Freddy's habit of cracking jokes and the likes.

The original film was written and directed by Wes Craven and was first released in 1984. The new movie will keep the high school setting and delve deeper in the psychology of nightmares/bad dreams with Freddy Krueger.

I like what Freddy Krueger said when his chasing one of his victims "Why are you screamin'? I haven't even cut you yet!" - Scary!
