The Dark Knight Rises is a 2012 movie and the 3rd and the last of the Batman trilogy by Nolan's film series. The film stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne aka Batman, Tom Hardy as Bane - one of the brutal antagonist of the movie, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth (Wayne's butler and confidant), Gary Oldman as Gotham City Commissioner James Gordon, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate and Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake.
The film follows the story what the previous movie, The Dark Knight, had left off where Batman became a wanted vigilante and forces to exile after being chased by the Gotham City Police Department. Eight years after, he is left with no choice but to emerge once more to face his newest foes with the face of the ruthless terrorist whose plans is to destroy Gotham City under the name of Bane. Selina Kyle (Catwoman) also appears before Bane and possibly part of the said evil scheme.
The Dark Knight Rises was directed by Christopher Nolan and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. It is set to be released in theaters in United States and United Kingdom on July 20, 2012.
