Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011)

Rise of the Planet of the Apes is an upcoming 2011 movie in which a brilliant man’s own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy within the planet. The film is set during the present day Francisco wherein a single act of both compassion and arrogance leads to a war unlike any other, leading to the Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

From the directorial expertise of Rupert Wyatt, Rise of the Planet of the Apes is a completely new take on one of 20th Century Fox's most beloved and successful franchises. The science fiction film is set for release on the 5th of August 2011. It stars the famous James Franco as Will Rodman, a driven scientist who becomes a crucial figure in the war between apes and humans. Franco is working on a cure for Alzheimer’s disease by performing tests on apes, but the result of his experiment was not the thing he was expecting. Caesar was his first test subject. Caesar genetically modifies his way of thinking to create a new breed of ape with human-like intelligence. Caesar is a fast learner, however, the human authority continues to test and contain him. He eventually became smart enough to free himself from his cages and release the cure among other apes. To make the long story short, he reproduced hundreds like him and they prompted an all-out war against humans.
