The movie Mother and Child is a drama film directed and written by Rodrigo Garcia. It stars Naomi Watts, Annette Bening, Kerry Washington, Samuel Jackson, David Morse and Shareeka Epps. It was first shown on the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival and at the Sundance Film Festival on January 2010. This week on May 7th, it will hit the US movie theaters in limited release.
The story surround on the affect of adoption to the character of the story. Karen which is played by Annette Bening had a baby at the young age of 14 gave her up for adoption which has been haunted her ever since by the daughter she never knew. On the other hand, Elizabeth played by Naomi Watts grew up as an adopted child; she's a bright and ambitious lawyer, but a flinty loner in her personal life. Lucy (Kerry Washington) is asking her husband to adopt a child to be their own. A twist of fate as these people intertwine in the story of relationship of mother and child.
Mother and Child hits theater on May 7, 2010 (the same US release date of the Iron Man 2) and you can watch it online.
