Footloose (2011)
Music plays a huge role in our lives. It frees our spirit and allows our emotions to be expressed through singing or dancing. So if music is vanished, life will become lifeless and boring. That is why when the city kid Ren McCormack moves to the small town in the West, he really experienced culture shock when he learned that music and dancing were exceptionally banned in that place. How could anyone live a life without hearing any music? Can you picture it out? It must be very boring! If you really want to see what happens, then the upcoming musical American dance film entitled “Footloose” will show you how it will look like.
Footloose is a dance musical film which is set to hit in movie theaters on October 14, 2011. The film is written and directed by the famous Craig Brewer, the one who is also behind the movies “Hustle & Flow” and “Black Snake Moan”. It was based on the beloved classic film of the same name but with a different taste and in a modernized style. The film is set to be distributed by Paramount Pictures and the stars include Kenny Wormald, Julianne Hough, Andie MacDowell, Dennis Quaid, Miles Teller and many others.
In this film, Wormald plays the role of Ren MacCormack as a city kid who is transported from Boston into a small town in the West, in the southern town of Bormont to be exact, and upon his arrival on the place, he immediately experienced culture shock. In the town, music and dancing is being banned. It all started during the time when, a few years back, the community was rocked by a disastrous accident which unintentionally resulted to the death of five teenagers after a night out. Because of what happened, the Bormont’s local councilmen and the beloved Reverend Shaw Moore made necessary actions by implementing an ordinance which states that starting that day, music and dancing will already be prohibited in their place. Now, when Ren came into the place, he challenged the ban and he once again revitalized the town when he fell in love with the minister’s troubled daughter named Ariel (role played by Hough). Will music and dancing create good effects into town? Find out!
