Don't Be Afraid of the Dark (2011)

It is but normal for a person to be afraid of the dark because when you are in the dark, you cannot see anything and your tendency is to stumble, bump and hit on any object blocking your way. But aside from that, many people usually believe that there are other entities such as ghosts, evil spirits and other forms of the paranormal which hide in the dark. They hide in the dark because they don’t want to catch others’ attention because they are not humans.

Talking about ghosts and other entities that goes bumping into the night, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark is an upcoming horror movie which reminds you not to be afraid of the dark, but will definitely give you the shivers and the chills. The horror movie revolves around a young girl who was sent to live with her father (Guy Pearce) and his new girlfriend (Katie Holmes) who was able to discover and meet some evil creatures also living together with them in her new home and these entities live under the stairs where it is dark.

The American horror film Don't Be Afraid of the Dark is set for release on August 26, 2011 in the US (August 12 in United Kingdom) in movie theaters nationwide. The script written by Matthew Robbins and Guillermo del Toro is being directed by the comic artist Troy Nixey, one of the famous horror filmmakers. In this film, the introverted Sally Hurst has just moved in to his father’s house when she unveiled the secrets behind the sprawling entities roaming around their house. Going deeper into the depths of the house, Sally accidentally stumbles into the secret lower level that has lain undisturbed for almost a century, the time when the original builder of the house mysteriously vanished and without a trace.
