BRAVE is a 2012 animated film from Disney Pixars that features the voices of Kelly Macdonald, Julie Walters, Billy Connolly, Emma Thompson, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson, Robbie Coltrane and John Ratzenberger. It follows the life of the skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor, Merida as she tries to carve her own destiny even she defies the old custom of her land.

That's when Merida's life begins to become complicated when she finds help from a witch that turn her life upside down and affect all the people around her. She must act swiftly and quickly to undo the spell that curse her kingdom and her family before its too late. The following is the complete synopsis/premise of the film from Wikipedia:

Merida, a skilled archer and headstrong daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor, lives in the Scottish kingdom of DunBroch as a princess with her three brothers. Merida is betrothed to one of the sons of the three Lords: Dingwall, Macintosh, and MacGuffin. The princess, however, is determined to live her own life. When Merida defies one of the kingdom's traditions by sabotaging an archery contest between the three lords, the princess inadvertently causes controversy and chaos throughout the kingdom. In response to the chaos, Merida turns to an elderly wise woman to help change her fate. A curse is inflicted on Merida's family and kingdom. Merida must discover the true meaning of bravery by undoing the spell to save her family and kingdom.

The animated film was directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman.
