We live in the same Earth, but we do not what is happening in the other side of the globe or in other portions of this earth for it is so wide that we can’t tour it even if it takes a lifetime. Filled with drama and heavy emotions, another science fiction film that the people will surely look forward to is the movie Another Earth which is scheduled for release on July 22, 2011.

Proudly presented to you by Fox Searchlight Pictures, Another Earth is a forthcoming film written by Mike Cahill and Brit Marling and directed by Mike Cahill himself. The film centers on Rhoda Williams (the lead role being played by Brit Marling), an ambitious yet very brilliant MIT astrophysics girl student who aspires to explore the cosmos and discover some new and extraordinary things. One day, she accidentally killed a man’s family when he was leaning out of her window just to catch sight of a newly discovered planet. Meanwhile, John Burroughs is a brilliant composer who has just reached the pinnacle of his profession and is about to have a second child when the accident happened. A night before the discovery of the duplicate planet, Another Earth, an unexpected tragedy struck the two strangers and their lives eventually became irrevocably intertwined.

After the incident, the two became estranged into the world and the selves they once knew. The two unintentionally started an unlikely and unforeseen love affair and was then reawakened to life. However, a challenge was presented to them when one was given the chance to travel to Another Earth. Who could it be? Which new life will they choose, the past or the present?
